RTR94.9FM is the Station of the High Country Christian Broadcasters Assn. Inc. and promotes as "THE REAL ALTERNATIVE" to ABC and Commercial Radio.
The Station is totally Christian Resource only programming from Local, National and International supporting Ministries and Organisations.
We do not use any secular resource or downloads.

We have an increasing response from Local and Regional Sponsors and Community organisations with News, Events and Happenings throughout the region.

Operating from Studio & Station facilities provided and maintained for HCCBA by Ambassadors of Jesus Inc. Christian Assemblies, as a Faith Ministry Investment into the High Country and Upper Murray Region. The Station transmits from Mt Mittamatite (elevation 1039 metres) overlooking Corryong with an ERP of 1Kw. Our service area extends over approx 12500-15000 Sq Km and beyond. Present coverage of difficult terrain and the Low-Lands area of Albury-Wodonga region is expected to be further improved after we complete aerial and tower upgrades as requested by the ABA.

In view of RTR94.9FM's 18 Years of Successful Broadcasting and the proven, Technical and Financial
capacity of this station to provide a consistent High Quality of Christian and Community service coverage to the Region,
as acknowledged by Federal and State Govt, Bushfire Authorities, Federal & State MP's and the ABC Compass program.
The statements included in the ACMA media release of 4th November 2011, do not refer to the real issue, which relates to HCCBA's Constitution, and it's higher Security,
Integrity and Accountability for all members, and which clearly provides for the practical participation of any genuine person whether,
Christian or not, if such people are available and committed to serve in this Radio Ministry under the covering and training of the appointed Leadership Team.
The Second Issue is the refusal of the ACMA to accept that in an area of low density population. If people do not want, or have time, to be practically involved they cannot be forced to do so !!!
Nor should this situation, preduce the entitlement of a small group of committed and dedicated people to provide a specialised Christian Outreach & Community Support Ministry.
